PTZ Auto Tracking

The flagship functionality of this camera is the intelligent PTZ function. The camera can automatically detect motion and track without user intervention or, instead, it can be the user who easily decides to pan/tilt/zoom to a specific area in a clear and timely manner.

While most cameras typically achieve pan speeds of 60°/s, this camera can pan at 250°/s and tilt at 160°/s, providing fast and accurate movement, infinite 360° pan and 95° tilt. The user can easily control the target position by using the mouse to monitor the area of interest or set one of 300 preset patrol positions available. In addition, the user can schedule specific PTZ tasks by date and time.

Drastic reduction of false alarms thanks to artificial intelligence

Conventional PTZ cameras have a wide detection range but have to be manually controlled to adjust the camera to track moving objects, which is inconvenient and less reliable. In addition, if several cameras are installed, it is not possible to control them all simultaneously when some specific accidents occur. Whereas, Milesight PTZ cameras with the auto-tracking function enabled in combination with the object filtering artificial intelligence functions distinguish people and vehicles from other moving objects that could trigger false alarms, such as light beams, animals or leaves, which minimizes false alarms and manipulation of camera behavior by thieves. When motion is detected in a target area, the camera will pan and tilt to focus automatically. It will then zoom in to provide a clear image for a period of time. This time is configurable and when the duration expires or the subject leaves the field of view, the camera will resume its previous surveillance position and zoom level.

The auto tracking technology is composed of detection and tracking. Regarding to detection technology, it first compares the current image with the previous image to differentiate the background and moving objects, and then decides a target to track.

And as for tracking process, it utilizes a model which includes the characteristics of moving objects and their surrounding background. Then it extracts the unique characteristics of moving objects, searches candidate areas with the highest similarity, and use Pan/Tilt/Zoom function to track the objects.

Smart IR II Technology

The IR LED technology has been enhanced to provide video with an impressive IR viewing range of up to 300m. Four LEDs operate as High Light, two LEDs operate as Medium Light, while the other three LEDs operate as Low Light for improved clarity and image quality regardless of the distance to the subject. In addition, the brightness of the low, mid and high beams can be adjusted manually or automatically depending on the zoom ratio.

Artificial Intelligence

Video Content Analysis(VCA), also referred to Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA), is the capability of automatically analyzing video to detect and determine temporal and spatial events. The algorithms can be implemented as software on general purpose machines or as hardware in specialized video processing units. It automatically performs an analysis of captured video, and automatically uses the resultant data. This technical capability is used in a wide range of fields including entertainment, health-care, retail, automotive, transport, home automation, safety and security. Region-based entry/exit:

detects objects, people and vehicles entering or leaving a predefined zone and gives notifications when required.

Advanced motion detection:

detects movement and triggers an alarm, while filtering out false alarms such as lighting variations and movement caused by external events such as wind.

sends an immediate notification if the camera has been unplugged or the objective has been covered to block its view.

Line crossing

Detects people and vehicles crossing a predefined virtual line, providing AI-enabled perimeter protection for high-risk areas to receive instant notifications.

Can provide notification for sensitive areas where objects are in a defined area for a period of time

People detection

Can detect human movement in a monitored area, this feature can also display the footprints of a moving person on the cameras image

People counting

Abandoned/removed objects

Provides notifications of objects abandoned or removed from a predefined area for a set period of time for high-risk areas to ensure public safety

Face detection
