The Milesight 5MP AI Speed Dome Network Camera is designed to magnify image quality to the maximum. Its impressive optical zoom allows the user to zoom in on very distant subjects providing high quality video throughout the zoom range.
Thanks to its advanced AI engine, it is able to detect faces in real time, count people and respond to trigger events such as a person or vehicle entering or leaving a monitored location.
It includes IP66 waterproof protection and optional IK10 impact protection.

42X Optical Zoom
The 5MP 42X AI Speed 5MP dome network camera is designed to extend the user's reach to unimaginable levels thanks to the fast 4.7∼141mm @F1.5∼F4.0 lens and impressive 42X optical zoom that allows the user to zoom in on super distant targets while maintaining sharpness and delivering high quality video throughout the zoom range.
PTZ Auto Tracking
The flagship functionality of this camera is the intelligent PTZ function. The camera can automatically detect motion and track without user intervention or, instead, it can be the user who easily decides to pan/tilt/zoom to a specific area in a clear and timely manner.
While most cameras typically achieve pan speeds of 60°/s, this camera can pan at 250°/s and tilt at 160°/s, providing fast and accurate movement, infinite 360° pan and 95° tilt. The user can easily control the target position by using the mouse to monitor the area of interest or set one of 300 preset patrol positions available. In addition, the user can schedule specific PTZ tasks by date and time.

Drastic reduction of false alarms thanks to artificial intelligence
Conventional PTZ cameras have a wide detection range but have to be manually controlled to adjust the camera to track moving objects, which is inconvenient and less reliable. In addition, if several cameras are installed, it is not possible to control them all simultaneously when some specific accidents occur. Whereas, Milesight PTZ cameras with the auto-tracking function enabled in combination with the object filtering artificial intelligence functions distinguish people and vehicles from other moving objects that could trigger false alarms, such as light beams, animals or leaves, which minimizes false alarms and manipulation of camera behavior by thieves. These cameras are incredible tools to protect you and public property with great accuracy and efficiency. The reliability of video surveillance can be well-guaranteed. When motion is detected in a target area, the camera will pan and tilt to focus automatically. It will then zoom in to provide a clear image for a period of time. This time is configurable and when the duration expires or the subject leaves the field of view, the camera will resume its previous surveillance position and zoom level.
The auto tracking technology is composed of detection and tracking. Regarding to detection technology, it first compares the current image with the previous image to differentiate the background and moving objects, and then decides a target to track.
And as for tracking process, it utilizes a model which includes the characteristics of moving objects and their surrounding background. Then it extracts the unique characteristics of moving objects, searches candidate areas with the highest similarity, and use Pan/Tilt/Zoom function to track the objects.
Artificial Intelligence
Video Content Analysis(VCA), also referred to Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA), is the capability of automatically analyzing video to detect and determine temporal and spatial events. The algorithms can be implemented as software on general purpose machines or as hardware in specialized video processing units. It automatically performs an analysis of captured video, and automatically uses the resultant data. This technical capability is used in a wide range of fields including entertainment, health-care, retail, automotive, transport, home automation, safety and security. This camera uses the lastest AI Video analytics technology to provide:
- Region-based entry/exit:
- detects objects, people and vehicles entering or leaving a predefined zone and gives notifications when required.
- Advanced motion detection:
- detects movement and triggers an alarm, while filtering out false alarms such as lighting variations and movement caused by external events such as wind.
- Tamper detection:
- sends an immediate notification if the camera has been unplugged or the objective has been covered to block its view.
- Line crossing
- Detects people and vehicles crossing a predefined virtual line, providing AI-enabled perimeter protection for high-risk areas to receive instant notifications.
- Loitering
- Can provide notification for sensitive areas where objects are in a defined area for a period of time
- People detection
- Can detect human movement in a monitored area, this feature can also display the footprints of a moving person on the cameras image
- People counting
- Highly accurate, real-time people counting that provides statistical reports for further analysis to help manage pedestrian traffic or used for marketing in commercial settings
- Abandoned/removed objects
- Provides notifications of objects abandoned or removed from a predefined area for a set period of time for high-risk areas to ensure public safety
People & vehicle counting
High accuracy and real-time people counting based on AI algorithm, with statistic reports for further analysis, helps to make fast decisions on security management and increase the operational efficiency of the business. People Counting is able to count how many people enter or exit during the setting period, which can therefore serve multiple purposes such as helping retailers to count how many customers came in a day. It records the number of people passing through a line automatically. People who cross along the direction of an arrow will be recorded as IN. On the contrary, they will be recorded as OUT.
Statistics Report
After a certain time of counting, you can start using the Statistics Report function. With this function, you can search by Statistics Types or Report Type. The search result supports Line Chart and Histogram, which could help users to study flow trend. There are two installation suggestions as follows:
- Top Mounting: Top-mounted cameras can better separate people passing side-by-side.
- Wall Mounting: Wall-mounted cameras can better identify people.
Face detection
Face Detection function detects human faces in the monitoring scene and captures the snapshots, which greatly enhances the monitoring efficiency and benefits the large population related industries such as public security, access control and business management.
Smart IR II Technology
The IR LED technology has been enhanced to provide video with an impressive viewing range of up to 300m. Four LEDs operate as High Light, two LEDs operate as Medium Light, while the other three LEDs operate as Low Light for improved clarity and image quality regardless of the distance to the subject. In addition, the brightness of the low, mid and high beams can be adjusted manually or automatically depending on the zoom ratio.
Perfect adaptation to different distances without disturbing reflections
With the combined High Beam and Low Beam, the new Smart IR II technology ensures that the IR LEDs reach the farthest distance. The 2MP 42X AI speed dome network camera extends the IR distance to 200m, up to 300m in the wiper version. The IR strength is adjusted to suit different lighting conditions at various specific angles, which will ensure image quality to avoid problems of overexposure and darkness.
Smart Rain-Sensing Wiper
The rain sensor is used to detect the rain, realizing a smarter control of the wiper function. The speed and frequency of the wiper are intelligently adjusted according to the rain. By smart rain-sensing wiper，Milesight AI Speed Dome can clear rainwater automatically, providing sharp images even in rainy days.
Leading-edge H.265+ Compression
H.265+ encoding is designed to further boost the capabilities of HEVC technology and lower the overall bitrate of the H.265 codec. With the means of H.265+ technology, end customers will experience high quality compression outputs, greater storage savings and enhanced video analytics. The great advantage of H.265+ storage is the reduced bit rate which means that the final file will be smaller and the bandwidth requirement will be reduced as well.
