It refers to the capability to acquire images of license plates to transform optical data into digital information in real-time. With the Starlight Premium Technology, Milesight cameras are able to capture full-color images in extremely low-light conditions reaching 0.001Lux without extra light supplement. The image sensor is one of the most significant components of a camera. Milesight applies a Progressive Scan CMOS Sensor whose capacity is bigger than that of the conventional ones. The sensor vastly improves the utilization of the light. It is ideal for capturing saturated and sharp images even in pitch dark environment.

3D Digital Noise Reduction

Shooting the low-light image causes more digital noises, thus 3D Digital Noise Reduction technology is embedded in the starlight cameras to process the image. By comparing with some previous frames, the digital noises will be filtered and colors will be recovered. The image produced will be clarified with authentic features.

Smart IR II Technology

The IR LED technology has been enhanced to provide video with an impressive IR viewing range of up to 180m. Three LEDs operate as High Light, while the other three LEDs operate as Low Light for improved clarity and image quality regardless of the distance to the subject. In addition, the brightness of the low and high beams can be adjusted manually or automatically depending on the zoom ratio.

Perfect adaptation to different distances without disturbing reflections

With the combined High Beam and Low Beam, the new Smart IR II technology ensures that the IR LEDs reach the farthest distance. The 2MP AI LPR 4X Bullet Plus Network Camera extends the IR distance to 180m. The IR strength is adjusted to suit different lighting conditions at various specific angles, which will ensure image quality to avoid problems of overexposure and darkness.

3 en 1 Super WDR Pro

WDR is a technology that extends the camera's range to cover a greater span between the bright and the dark areas in the image. A scene that holds great variances in contrast requires separate exposures to offer full detail in both dark and light areas of the scene. As the exposure time increases, more of the details in darker areas will be visible. Milesight Super WDR Pro offers three different exposure time including long, middle and short ones, which greatly enlarge the range of wide dynamic to provide a clear image.

Milesight Super WDR Pro outputs the data for up to three frames with different storage times line by line and combines them into one clear image. By performing special signal processing with an ISP (Image Signal Processor) or other devices at the image sensor rear-end, this enables improvement of picture quality under low illumination compared to the multiple exposure-type WDR function. Meanwhile, Milesight Super WDR Pro provides three levels to meet different needs, including Low, High and Auto.
