Ultrasonic distance and fill level sensor
The essence of these sensors is distance measurement. This is the secret to how versatile they are. More fundamentally, they measure the time it takes for a wave to travel to and from the detector. This model is very accurate in its measurement because it emits pulses that travel through the air at a known speed.

The EM310-UDL is ideal for remotely and accurately monitoring the levels of any type of waste in various containers, such as bins, and then sending alerts to cleaning staff when the bins are almost full, helping to save money, energy, and carbon emissions through the use of suitable cloud platforms (ask us about our platforms!).
Measurement features
This sensor's versatility is partly due to its wide detection range, from 3cm to 4.5m with 1mm resolution. It is powered by two 3.5A batteries. This guarantees very low maintenance (the batteries can last more than 10 years, depending on the number of messages sent).
Built to withstand the toughest conditions
The sensor is protected from heavy rain and sewage by an IP67 waterproof housing. It is also able to withstand the extreme heat of excessive sunlight and the extreme cold of a snowy day. The EM310-UDL requires little maintenance.

3-Axis Accelerometer
Each EM310-UDL is equipped with a sensor that will alert you if the bin is tipped over or if it is vandalised. When placed on a manhole cover, it automatically senses if someone is lifting it without permission.

Another direct application of the EM310-UDL sensor is to detect occupied spaces in car parks. When it is placed on the roof of each parking space, a solution can be created that will direct drivers to the nearest available parking space, avoiding traffic congestion, waste of time and frustration for users.
