The UG65 also has multiple Bakchaul options, including Ethernet and Wi-Fi, providing flexibility for various network configurations. It can connect to LoRa network servers such as TTN, ChirpStack, and more, and is compatible with Semtech's latest Packet Forwarded.
Please note that while the UG65-868M-EA version does not support cellular connectivity, the UG65-L04EU-868M-EA version is equipped with 4G (LTE/3G) compatibility.

It reduces power consumption, simplifies the thermal design of gateways, and lowers bill-of-material (BOM) costs while handling more traffic than previous devices. This gateway supports SF5 & SF6, making it capable of handling even more traffic with ease.
With its low energy consumption, the UG65 boasts a typical power consumption of only 3.5w and a maximum of 4.2w, making it a reliable and cost-effective solution for your business needs.

With LoRa coverage that penetrates walls and floors, the UG65 brings coverage to every corner, covering up to 12 km² (2 km radius) in urban applications.

BACnet over LoRaWAN®
BACnet is a communication protocol for building automation and control networks that uses the ASHRAE, ANSI, and ISO 16484-5 standard protocol. In LoRaWAN IoT solutions, real-time data can be seamlessly integrated into existing building management systems using BACnet/IP compliant gateways such as Milesight's UG65 and UG67. LoRaWAN® serves as the data channel to the control applications. No changes to the BACnet protocol, network, or BACnet-enabled devices and management systems are needed.
LoRaWAN® as a complemetary network
LoRaWAN® network is independent of the core BACnet infrastructure. The LoRaWAN® network feeds data to the BMS through a virtual BACnet server LoRaWAN® data and sensors appear to be part of the BACnet system.
