WDR is a technology that expands the camera's range to cover a larger space between bright and dark areas of the image. A scene with large variations, on the other hand, requires separate exposures to provide all the details in the dark and bright areas of the scene. As the exposure time increases, more details will be seen in the darker areas. This is not the case with cameras featuring Milesight's Super WDR Pro technology, which achieve sharp images even when the variation in light intensity between dark and bright areas is up to 120dB.
Capturing images in low-light conditions results in more digital noise, which is why 3D Digital Noise Reduction technology is integrated into Starlight cameras to process the image. By comparing it with some previous images, digital noises are filtered out and colors are recovered. The resulting image will be clearer with authentic features.
