The 4K AI MS-C8173-SPD is a high-resolution focused model in this series of small, dome-shaped, vandal-resistant cameras.
It delivers highly detailed color images even in low-light and near-infrared environments without needing supplemental illumination.
This camera features Ultra High Definition 4K (8 megapixels) to ensure the excellent image quality of 3840x2160 @30fps while maintaining an ultra-mini size of 118.5x110.8x65mm.
The dome-shaped design integrates well into any environment. Its neat structure ensures maximum ease of use of the camera, providing the best user experience and image quality.

Robust Structure
With a robust structure, Milesight cameras withstand extreme temperatures from -40℃ to 60℃, and ably avoid lightning strikes and electrical surges with 6KV surge protection, guaranteeing a stable and reliable operation. Also with EN50155 compliance with railway standards, the Milesight camera can offer excellent performance even in railway applications.

The 4K AI Vandal-proof Mini Dome Camera features 4K ultra-high definition (3840*2160, effectively four times that of Full HD), providing users with an ultra-high-definition video viewing experience.
120 dB Super WDR
WDR is a technology that extends the camera's range to cover a greater span between the bright and the dark areas in the image. Milesight’s sensor-based WDR technology allows the AI vandal-proof Mini Dome Network Camera to record more significant scene details with true color reproduction even under extreme backlight and high contrast conditions. The ratio that the brightest light signal values divided by the darkest light signal values can be up to 120dB.
0.01Lux Ultra Low-light
The Milesight 4K AI Vandal-proof Mini Dome Network Camera can deliver highly detailed color images even in low light environments reaching 0.01Lux (Color) or 0Lux (B/W), and in near-infrared light environments without any supplementary lighting.

Image enhancement
In order to improve the operation of the mini dome network camera in outdoor conditions, it supports a number of advanced features, such as:
- HLC (Highlight Compensation):
- as at night or in dark areas, strong light sources can obscure much of the image after overwhelming bright light. Highlight Compensation (HLC) automatically detects strong light sources and reduces light exposure, greatly improving the clarity of bright areas.
- Defog:
- fog especially affects image quality so a high-performance haze correction is included.
- Deblur:
- limits the exposure time under certain gain range by precise algorithm, removing blurring artifacts caused by motion so that it can provide distinct images for moving objects.
State-of-the-art IR LED technology.
The IR LED technology has been enhanced to provide video with an IR viewing range of up to 30m. The AI vandal-proof mini-network camera is equipped with state-of-the-art LEDs to provide superior nighttime images offering absolute performance in night vision surveillance.
IP67 & IK10
Milesight designed this series to offer maximum resistance to harsh conditions. Whether in freezing Finland, a high-temperature metal melting factory, or a sandy desert, the 4K AI Vandal-proof Mini Dome Network camera meets surveillance needs and performs very well.
The solid foundation to ensure stable and uninterrupted operation depends on weatherproof capability and vandal resistance. This camera is IP67 rated, the highest possible protection against dust and water ingress. It is resistant even to total immersion. Vandal resistance with an IK10 rating protects the cameras against impacts, like blows from a hammer or a baseball bat. In contrast to its mini size, the AI vandal-resistant mini dome network camera features industry-leading IP67-rated weather resistance and IK10-rated vandal resistance to protect the camera against adverse impacts and ensure its robustness.

Artificial Intelligence
Video content analysis (VCA) refers to the ability to automatically analyze video to detect and alert on temporal and spatial events. It automatically performs live video analysis and uses the data obtained to trigger alarms. This technical capability is advantageous in various fields, such as entertainment, healthcare, retail, automotive, transportation, home automation, security, and safety. This camera uses the latest AI video analytics technology to provide:
- Region-based entry/exit:
- detects objects, people and vehicles.
- Advanced motion detection:
- detects movement and triggers an alarm, while filtering out false alarms such as lighting variations and movement caused by external events such as wind.
- Tamper detection:
- sends an immediate notification if the camera has been unplugged or covered.
- Line crossing
- Detects people and vehicles crossing a predefined virtual line.
- Loitering
- Can provide notification when objects are in a predefined area for some time.
- Abandoned/removed objects
- Specially designed for high-risk areas to ensure public safety.

The Milesight Network Cameras with SIP can be integrated with VoIP systems to build more efficient and convenient security solutions such as receiving alarm push notifications and then checking the live view from network cameras via mobile applications, or watching what is happening in front of the network camera through VoIP telephone.

Today, SIP-compatible devices are everywhere and the application is limitless. Users can simply dial the IP address of Milesight Network Cameras which are integrated with SIP devices to see and hear what is happening whenever and wherever. With the support of SIP, Milesight Network Cameras could integrate with various VoIP telephony systems to build different ranges of solutions.
Optional accessories for installation A71
Installation flexibility is granted, as you can install the camera in several ways to suit the needs of different projects:
- Directly to the ceiling or wall with the fixing screws included with the camera or using the A71 wall mounting accessory, the A73 adapter plate, or the A74 junction box.
- A71
- The A71 wall mount is used to install network cameras on a wall or vertical structure.
- A73
- For installation the cable needs to be routed through the side outlet.
- A74
- Creative clamshell design that combines the advantages of cable management and waterproofing. The rubber ring and rubber plug work together to prevent water penetration. IP66-rated housing protects sensitive electronic components from dust and water, ensuring stable operation in any adverse conditions.
